Debra (Padmini) Bergman
Executive Director

Padmini joined AD+World Health one week after Dr. Nevins began and together they built the organization from the ground up. She has had a long and successful career in the film and entertainment industry as a producer and director on music videos, shorts, features, documentaries and reality TV shows. In 2005, Padmini launched a successful yoga program with the Los Angeles Unified School District Continuing Education Program teaching yoga and yogic philosophy to immigrant children, aged 3-12 years.

Since April 2007, Padmini has been the Vice President & Director of Marketing and Development of AD+World Health and in 2010, she was hired as the Executive Director.

In 2008, Padmini returned to graduate school to obtain a Masters Degree in psychology. She currently has a degree in the Counseling of Psychology and is working toward licensure. At present, she is working as a pre-licensed therapist integrating Vedic philosophy, mindfulness meditation, neuroscience, attachment theory, depth psychology, Kundalini Yoga, and mind body consciousness into her work toward healing individuals and the planet. She currently works at the Cancer Support Community providing psychosocial support and individual therapy to the caretakers and individuals with cancer. In addition, she works as a therapist in adoption promotions and support services at 5 Acres providing therapy for foster children and their adoptive families.

Dr. Natalie Nevins
CEO/President

Dr. Nevins is the Founder and CEO of Amrit Davaa World Health Corp. She also serves as the Director of Medical Education at Downey Regional Medical Center for the Family Medicine Residency Program and Program Director for the Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Residency Program, as well as the Medical Director for the Amrit Davaa Wellness Center. She is Board Certified in Family Practice, Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She holds a Masters Degree is Health Professions Education and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Family Practice at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and Touro University.

Dr. Nevins served as a Major in the United States Air Force, with deployments to Afghanistan, and is currently a veteran. While on active duty she served as the Chief of Field Response, Chairman for Infection Control, Clinical Director of Laboratory Services and Radiology Services for the 61^st Medical Squadron. She lectures nationally on issues related to Disaster Preparedness, Bioterrorism, Chemical and Radiological Warfare, Emerging Infectious Diseases, Family Medicine, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Health Policy.

Trisha E. O'Hehir, RDH, BS
Secretary

Trisha O'Hehir is currently the Editorial Director for Hygienetown Magazine. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry with a degree in dental hygiene in 1967 and again in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in higher education. In 2010 she earned a Master's Degree.

Her dental hygiene career has included roles as clinician in the USA and Zurich, Switzerland, faculty positions at the Universities of Minnesota, Washington, Arizona, and Louisville, international speaker, writer, instrument designer, inventor, and entrepreneur.

She was on the founding editorial board for RDH Magazine in 1980 and wrote the Periodontics Column for 14 years. In 1989, Trisha began her own writing company, Perio Reports, publishing research summaries bimonthly for 16 years. Since 2005, Perio Reports has been licensed to Hygienetown Magazine where it appears monthly and reaches an audience of 110,000 dentists and hygienists.

She co-founded the Perio-DataTM Charting Form Company and authored the cartoon book, The Toothpaste Secret, based on her dry brushing clinical research. She has published over 200 articles bridging the gap between published research and clinical practice. Articles have appeared in Hygienetown, RDH, JDH, JPH, Access, and JADA.

Paul Arentz, Esq.
Vice President of Legal Affairs

Paul Arentz is a licensed attorney who has practiced in California since 1993 and is a member of the State Bar of California. Mr. Arentz has represented individuals, businesses, and governmental entities in numerous civil litigation matters in state and federal court. Currently, Paul is a captain in the United States Army Reserve JAG Corp.

On his down time, Paul enjoys Civil War reenactments and is an avid fitness enthusiast.

Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa

Gurmukh Kaur is the co-founder and director of Golden Bridge Yoga, Los Angeles' premier center for the study and practice of Kundalini Yoga and meditation. For nearly three decades students in Los Angeles and around the world have  sought her classes in Kundalini yoga, meditation, and pre and post natal care.

Since 1970, when Gurmukh's spiritual teacher Yoga Bhajan gave her the Sikh spiritual name meaning "One who helps thousands of people across the world ocean," Gurmukh has dedicated her life to fufilling that responsibility.

Gurmukh's books "The Eight Human Talents: The Yogic Way to Restoring the Natural Balance of Serenity Within You," and "Bountiful, Beautiful, Blissful: Experience the Natural Power of Pregnancy and Birth with Kundalini Yoga and Meditation," have been long time Kundalini Yoga bestsellers.  Her video series, The Method: Pre and Post Natal Yoga, features a numerous publications such as Vogue, Elle, InStyle, The New York Times, and appearances on Good Morning America have introduced Gurmukh to a wide audience and to the vast ancient teachings of the yoga tradition.

Gurmukh is also a founding member of Khalsa Way, an organization created not only to offer Kundalini Yoga but also to help people deliver and rear healthy children, as well as find success in their careers and relationships. She has been married for 24 years and has a 22 year old daughter who went to school in India, where Gurmukh returns every year to teach and study.

Pramod Multani, MD
Member

Dr. Pramod Multani MD practices cardiology and internal medicine in Downey,California. Dr. Pramod Multani specializes in cardiology, internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He obtained board certification from the member board for Internal Medicine.

Dr. Multani attended medical school at Delhi University Maulana Azad Medical College and graduated in 1978 having 33 years experience. Additional Internal Medicine training was conducted at Finch University Health Science, Chicago Medical School. Additional Cardiovascular Disease training was conducted at Veteran Administration Medical Center.

W. Michael Carragher III, DO, ACOFP
Board of Directors, Member

Dr. Carragher is board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine with certification in Age Management Medicine. After completing his residency, Dr. Carragher worked as an Emergency Room Physician while starting his own private practice in 2002. In 2007, Dr. Carragher opened The Body Well, in line with his vision to provide quality health care with an emphasis on prevention and well-being.

Dr. Carragher completed his osteopathic residency in 2002 at Downey Regional Medical Center in Downey, California. He received his medical degree in 1999 from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Before medical school he was a clinical researcher at The Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience at Rutgers University, where he conducted research on neuropeptides and receptor-based therapies for AIDS dementia. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1991 from New York University.

Dr. Rebecca Guisti

Dr. Rebecca Giusti is currently an Assistant Professor, Clinician and the First Year Curriculum Coordinator for the NMM/OMM Department at Western University of Health Sciences. She is Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and did her training at Downey Regional Medical Center. She is also an ACE certified group fitness instructor and teaches pilates, yoga and group fitness.

Dr. Giusti grew up primarily overseas in Yemen, Morocco, and Egypt and has a passion for travel. She has assisted with various Osteopathic courses in Italy, France, and Germany and has also been privileged to travel to Tawang, India with Amrit Davaa World Health to provide sustainable healthcare to that underserved region.

Jenn Viola
Media Development and Recruitment

Jennifer Viola is a TV/Film Editor with over 15 years of experience working in Television, Film and Home Entertainment in Los Angeles.  For close to 8 years, she worked as an Editor at MTV on the show, Making the Video, which highlighted new music videos from popular artists.  Since then, Jennifer has worked in many areas of the Entertainment Industry from Reality TV to DVD special features, as well as Co-Producing and Editing a Documentary set in India, where she was fortunate enough to visit during the filming process.  In 2007, she began working with Amrit Davaa World Health to help create promotional videos for their website and fundraising purposes.  She is currently employed at Deluxe Digital Studios, working on such projects as the recently released film, Source Code and the upcoming film Honey 2.  Jennifer is also very passionate about animals and their welfare.  

Mark Shuler
Director of Technical Development

Mark Shuler graduated from the University of Michigan College of Architecture and Urban Planning in 1985. After interning with firms in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Seattle, Washington, Mark started his own architectural practice in 1992. His areas of expertise include urban infill development, high-end single-family residential, mixed-use/multi-family housing and small, light commercial projects. Mark has practiced extensively throughout the U.S., Guatemala and India and to date has completed more than 350 projects. In his role as Director of Facilities Development for AD World Health, he combines his skill sets as an entrepreneur, project manager, and team leader with his passion for international aid and development.
